Recycling for Recycling
Senator’s recycling centre have been awarded the contract to recycle unwanted furniture from government department DECC the Department of Energy and Climate Change.
The department exists to tackle the challenges which face our environment, our economy and the future of our energy supplies.
To date Senator have recycled 500 task chairs for the DECC which has resulted in over 12 tonnes
of furniture being diverted from landfill, equating to a saving of 31,750kg/CO2.
Or to put it simply, the energy saved could run a small car for 110,000 miles, in weight it is the equivalent of three baby elephants and the in volume is the same as heating seven hot air balloons. Impressive!!!
Senator are proud to be working alongside an organisation such as the DECC, reinforcing just how the initiatives the Company has put in place are going someway to preserving the environment.
